My mentors Dr. Phillip Landrigan and Gary Hirschberg, CEO of Stonyfield Yogurt, who are both extraordinary educator-advocates for public health and awareness.

I developed the Safe Lawn campaign to show  how pesticide-free lawns are easy, beautiful, and safe for pets and children.

In Hartford, with firefighters who testified about the public safety hazards of smoke from toxic chemicals in residential fires.

CITIZEN-ADVOCATE

  • Created “Safe Lawns” organic lawn program for the Town of Greenwich.

  • Helped convince Board of Ed to choose an alternative to toxic crumb rubber for the Greenwich High School turf stadium field. 

  • Advocated for a bill to ban the use of Toxic Flame Retardants.

  • Brought Firefighters to Hartford to testify on this issue for the first time.

  • Testified in Hartford to ban use of Toxic Crumb Rubber on playgrounds.

  • Advocated with legislators for the Domestic Violence gun safety bill.

  • Advocated with legislators against the Anti-Choice bills in 2017.
